Here is the rules link. Its a very simple and fun! Between 2.2 and 1.9 there was literally no difference when you add the advantages and disadvantages it pretty much equals itself out. I made a trail course at Worlds which was very very hard and I think two 2.2 made it and two 1.9 and the rest did not. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...xk4A9wZnw/edit The boost mobile location comp thread will be up tonight with all the details - location/time/courses Last edited by M_ENERGY; 09-13-2014 at 05:50 PM. |

Here is the rules about vehicle requirements. But again bring it anyways if ya wanna have some fun! Also if you have any questions feel free to ask or pm SECTION 2: Vehicle Requirements 2.1 - General: ▪ 2.1.1 - Vehicles are limited to 4-wheeled vehicles only. These 4 wheels can be the only source of propulsion for the vehicle. ▪ 2.1.2 - All vehicle specifications regardless of class, body or bodiless the measurements are to be taken in the vehicle's ready to run condition while sitting on a flat surface (i.e. tech table). ▪ 2.1.3 - Wheelbase is measuring from centerline of front axle stub to centerline of rear axle stub.(See rule 6.4) ▪ 2.1.5 - The Vehicles roof must be raised a minimum of 1” from the main chassis to resemble a cockpit. The frame sides must be an overall minimum of 1” tall (The cockpit & frame side are to be measured vertically from where the hood intersects the cab). ▪ 2.1.5.1 -Vehicles should resemble a 1:1 vehicle. ▪ 2.1.5.2 - Vehicles must have a hood panel, roof panel and a minimum of 2 side-panels. ▪ 2.1.5..3 - Body panels must be solidly installed in a manner that is representative of a 1:1 vehicle. ▪ 2.1.5.4 - All panels (roof, hood, and sides) must have at least 2x measurements greater than 1", and a minimum of 3.5 square inches of exposed solid surface area. ▪ 2.1.5.5 - Body panels must be fitted to the vehicle, and not be exaggerated in size or shape that intentionally distorts the vehicles legal measurements. ▪ 2.1.5.1.6 - Shocks and fasteners (nuts, bolts, washers, or spacers) shall not be included in the measurements of the vehicle. ▪ 2.1.5.1.7 - Vehicles body/ bodiless measurements must reach a minimum of (A) width, (B) length, and (C) height. Derrick...curious about courses... Is running 4 courses of 8 gates at 5mins each going to be the norm at all comps or just here due to the limited space? I guess I'm assuming that the 8 gate courses will probably have bonuses allowed although they're pointless... Being that this is SCRCC...which was founded by comp crawlers...for comp crawling...and is aimed at getting drivers points to attend national level comps...why are we limited the pro class to what amounts to 20 minutes of time on the rocks and the scale trucks are getting 30? Seems backwards to me...almost like let's hurry through the comp so we can play with the scalers. Of course this is coming from me...and we know my opinion on scale rigs I just don't like the idea of pushing the 2.2 comp rigs to the side to favor a "new" class that really doesn't even need to be held at the SCRCC events since there are usually at least 1-2 other events each month for them...even during the summer when the comp rigs don't run. So I'm not just complaining...I want to offer up my opinion on how I would have liked to see it turn out... 2.2 pro courses open at 9:00 or so 2.2 pro runs 4 courses of 10 gates...no bonuses! 2.2 pro finals...I like the idea of doing this in the middle of the day for several reasons...it lets some guys get in and get out if they have other obligations that day...AND it also lets the scale/2.2S crowd check out the 2.2 pro action if they're hanging around. 2.2S First off...not sure how we'd open up 2.2S when we haven't run the 2.2 pro finals...at this location anyway. Second...I really believe that if we are building courses effectively that we should run the same or VERY similar courses as the pro trucks...bypasses or alternate course/gate direction could be implemented as necessary. This saves on course building time...and the time it usually takes to get people motivated to clean up and build new courses. If we had a hand full of drivers that were ONLY competing in the 2.2S class then this might not be a good choice since they wouldn't have the prior knowledge that they'd get from driving in the 2.2 pro class, but since all of us are in 2.2 pro it "shouldn't" be an issue. Trail Class...I'd like to see something laid out to give people an idea how all of these classes/courses will be integrated. I know the pro trucks will be done by 3pm, but the Trail Class is set to start at 1pm...seems like we'd have some overlap in this location. Do you have an idea where the trail class will run at? I guess what I'm getting at is this...are you planning on running them on the adjoining properties? If so...do we have permission to do so? I'd hate to lose the ability to use the comp location due to causing a problem elsewhere. Just food for though...not trying to cause a problem...but I wanted everyone to be able to provide input also. |
