Default The tale of a super...

Here is my 2010 super project.

Since some people seem to be confused we'll start in the begining. When a 2.2 grows up and is ready to be a super. It sheds it baby 2.2" wheels and they are replaced with a maxx sized (3.2") wheel or larger.

I'm still working on my super axles with wider long side tubes so I had the 2.2 apart installing the super 300 axles in the front. I couldn't get my wheel adapters to fit the rear stock shafts but the real super will have super 300 in rear so no bigggy. I had the Area 51 chassis and it had done well in the past.

I wasn't too sure of the pizza cutters at first but they did pretty well considerign they had to drag the little rovers around.

The Berg will stay as long as they hold up. If they don't I'll see how the bully axles are doing.

Joe old supers had clod axles

It's a little over 18" with shocks fully extended but it'll grow a bunch when you start digging. The area 51 on clod axles with revo shocks was 17.5"

I have one, #3 the best of them all, I am in the process of making up new again. I think I will run 2.2's on it.

The Bully axles look alot more promising than the Bergs for a super.

If pat has #3 then you have #1 Jeremy. Yeah the bullies may hold up better we'll see how the bergs hold up. Fingers crossed.

Yep, I think that's what broke in SD's super berg at Crawlapalooza....hopefully he's got plans to have some stronger gears made.

So $240 in cvd's, $200 in axles, plus getting long sides, and the gears I am sure are not cheap....

Bully's $200. I have a set coming, but I can bet I will still be kicking it old school.
