| hardware store part to attach shocks to lower links?
I am trying to put together a set of parts I got for my super clod. the shocks were held to the lowers with some really loose cable clips. for mock up, i put tape on each side of them to keep from sliding but i know the rocks will take that off very soon. what can i go out and get to cure this? I though about using part of an inner tube as a shim, not sure if there is a better method? |

I used some metal collars from ACE hardware I found in the hardware section. They have different sizes in a drawer. They have a allen head set screw to secure them. What size links are you using?

Don't know what diameter your links are ( I run 1/2" delrin lower links), but for what it's worth, a couple of wraps of electrical tape on either side of a 1/2" plastic wire holder have held up great for me. I actually prefer it this way. When I ran smaller diameter aluminum links, the collar style stays seemed to catch on everything. |
