Default Need Help on choosing chassis

Im Building a super crawler out of my mgt.
Its going to look basically like this one. newbie with pics of first build ever

My question is will a 2.2 scale chassis work alright with this, or am i going to need to go bigger in size? If so Any suggestions on bigger chassis?

I don't know much about the science of a super-- I used a 2.2 chassis for mine.

To me what matters is that you get on the bench & build something. For me it was a great learning experience-- I learned a little about link suspension geometry & squat/anti-squat-- all without breaking out the welder, lifting heavy parts, being out int he cold, & getting my hands dirty. Pretty cool.

ive had bad experience with 2.2. you cant use longer shocks with them
unless you are willing to sacrifice wheel base you need a chassis that is true to scale. find the chassis you like and then build it to scale bigger. my xtm came with what is basically a 2.2 chassis and it is horribly flexy. i would seriously suggest a super specific chassis unless you are mounting 80-100mm to the links instead of the axles. keep in mind though the geometry changes when you mount to the links. it will allow the truck to increase and decrease wheelbase...just my .02

note jeeppowers super is 15" wheelbase. thats because the links are properly fitted. if you try the same and go to super rules wheelbase you will get toooooo much wheelbase change to remain within the rules without mounting the shocks close to the chassis on the links...im building my own for my x-crawler and it is close to 12 inches long in order to get the proper geometry and the wheelbase to remain within the rules thru out the travel of the suspension. again my .02
