Looks like the makings of a awesome build. 7t puller on 4s They are insane on 3s! I'd say some fans and a very easy throttle finger would be in order. What servos are you going to use?

I was trying to save cash on the servos. I'm using a pair of 1/4 scale Hitec 805BB servos.
I stole them for $30 for the pair , But they are HUGE ! At least they will get the rig up and going. I really want the the new Hitec 7980 (611oz of TORQUE) BUT my wallet can't afford them. I may need to borrow someone elses wallet

Modified the Hellstrom chassis by angling the skid plate for better breakover clearance.
Started lower link mock-up with some 8/32 all thread. Lower links will be cut from 1/2 delrin.
wheelbase is set at 17.5" with 5" or 5.5" skid clearance

Well, she's done !

I was able to finish wiring last night. Now just need to learn how to drive it.
I changed wheels to a 3.8" PL zero offset rim for more clearance.
Cut lower links from 1/2" sheet delrin
and decided to run a short revo shock to limit flex

What do you guys think ?

I think it looks awesome-- the rear clearance, with the arms, is sweet.

Thanks guys

Arct1k, the height is an illusion. Front GC is 4.5" and rear GC is 5"

I test drove the rig today and the 4S was too much for the 7T pullers.

The motor temps were too high so I had to switch back to a 3S

Even with the tires not glued, the truck did really well. After I add some frontend weight it will do even better.

went out for another test session today, after glueing the tires.
I still would like to add a little weight to the frontend But the truck is performing great.

The rear link clearance worked out great for tall ledges !

Looks like you built a very capable rig

I have heard that the 7t pullers don't like to run 3s on a heavy rig.
Try to keep an eye on the temp. But could work out just fine.
