Default Billet Works' BWD Super Wedge...NEW!

Here's the first showing of one of the many projects I've been sitting on here. The all new BWD Super Wedge! While the one pictured is built around narrowed 65:1 Super Bullies, we have several more builds that will make an appearance shortly including: 1x std Super Bully, 4x Clods, and 1x Berg. Chassis' will include sides plates, lightened skid, lightened 3/8" thick extremely beefy machined lower links, upper links, braces, and hardware. I'm setting mine up at 17.25" WB. The weight as pictured is 3 lbs 2 oz.

Specs for this build:
BWD Super Wedge
BWD Top Secret Part #1 (much needed but not yet pictured)
BWD Custom Upper Link Mounts (not yet pictured)
BWD Custom Steering Links (not yet pictured)
BWD All New Super Locks...hopefully soon
Crawler Innovations Cut/Shut PlowGrinders/foams...soon
40 series wheels (temporary)
G8 Moabs (temporary)
Sven's Knuckle Weights
Narrowed 65:1 Super Bullies (big thanks to Mike at RC4WD)
Losi 4" shocks
2x Holmes TorqueMaster BR-XL ESC's
2x Holmes 35T's
DX7
CC BEC
2x Savox SC-1256's (temporary)
2x Robitronic Servo Horns
And of course, working on a project like this is so much nicer when building on my Jumbo Cow R/C screw catcher

Many more pics and details to come...stay tuned. If anyone has a set of my old super locks sitting around, that they wouldn't mind loaning me for a bit, I'll make it worth their while some how

Thanks bud. It's supposed to be .375" but my acetal always comes in metric... .394" - even lighted up over half the thickness in the pockets, you can not bend these monsters

Nice, I think 3/8" plate like that is as strong as 1/2 rod but lighter and more fun since you can machine cool designs out of it.

Actually, I have made links in 1/2" rod as well and these machined links are way less flexible and more stout I have links made from the same stuff on a 24" WB 20 lb fun rig here and they are bomb proof.

Wow Don, that is a really clean Super setup! I might have to borrow that pocket idea for the lower links, mine are a bit hefty.

My mind is on it all my friend...just a matter of getting it from mind to material

Here's another couple of pics. Until I get my hands on/make some 115's, I'll be running these modified 40's.

Great job on the Chassis and links.

Looks like it should work well.

I sure wish you wouldn't lead us on about new 115s
