Default What Length Should my Links Be?

Ok guys so here the situation. I don't know if it should be in the super class or not but I think so. I am working on a 1/5th scale hummer that is going to ride on clod axles. I can make my links any length because I am custom making them and I am going to drill my chassis where ever I want the links to attach. So my question is should the links be as long as possible or on the shorter side? Thanks guys let me know what you think.

i would say, decide on a wheelbase (ie. 15" 16" 17"...) along with a 50/50 or 60/40 chassis location (chassis dead center or forward b/t the wheels). After that, mock up your rig on a table and build your lower links to set your wheelbase, then measure and build your uppers to clock your axles the way you want them. For example, clock them upwards to keep the motor from dragging.

Also, check the 1/5th scale board and get a feel for the wheelbase you want relative to your truck/tire size if you want it to look scale.

Ok thanks. My wheel base has to be about 17.5 for the body I have. I will split the chassis 50/50 I think. What was the 1/5th scale board you mentioned?
