Default Redjone's 1.55 OG Drop Bed Bruiser

The wheels are to wide, going to replace them, other than that it is coming together nicely.

I decided to use Tamiya wheels to make the truck all Tamiya. Still need to add some final touches.

Thank you, I used TLT shafts for the front and a machine to cut and tap and die. Have some additional pics of the axles.

Thanks! Look for a rusting solution called Sophisticated Finishes. You can pick it up at any arts and crafts store

After weeks of deciding a wheel/tire combo, I am happy with my decision. Next is to remount the body and some other tweaks.

Well, it's time to start another bruiser build. This will be class 1 with 1.55. The body will be changing. Leaning towards the truggy look.

Two screws in the bed, using holes in the cross member.

That's what I do on mine too but still couldn't find a good way to support the cab. Original tower is too high.

Really nice build!!! Any updates??? How did you lock the transmission into 4 wheel drive? One last question.. What motor did you use?

Manually shift it to 4x4 and adjust the arm and tighten the Allen screw. You can also swap around some gears inside the transmission. I use any motor, I keep my lipo to 2s. Don't want to put stress on the drive train.

The brown hilux was sold. The red hilux is on a scx10 chassis
