| Finally Done!
I have just finished putting together my clod crawler(pics soon). I took it for a test run and it ran pretty well, had to do alot of tweakin. I still have some bugs to work out and finish painting the body. The problem that I still need to work out is that the truck rolls on an incline instead of styin still. I have asked a question similiar to this a while back about a tlt-10. I could not find my post. I thought that I have implemented what was said on that thread on my truck. It will be a couple days before I can get my rig back out to piddle with it but any suggestions now would be greatly appreciated. I am running clod axles with integy lathe motors and 9t pinion on front and 10t on rear, novak ESC super duty wired parallell. I have been on these forums for 1 yr now and would like to say thanks to every member here for making this site as great as it is. |

Does it roll over backwards when climbing an incline? If so, I would start by swapping the pinions so the 10t is in front. |

I have not ran it with the body on but it seemed like it was balanced really well and did not roll over till it was almost stnding straight up against a wall. I thought that I had read to put 10t on rear and 9t on front to help with motor stall but i could have misread.

never mind i understand what you are saying. I would climb up a wall and it would roll backwards. I am thinking about putting heavier springs on the motors to overcome this problem. Has anyone tried this? Last edited by Distressed; 06-02-2005 at 08:00 PM. |

hes not saying it rolls head over heals but the tires wont lock up whens hes on an incline. and wire those motors in a series, distressed. |

I am new so maybe I have the teminology wrong. I have the motors wired like this: From the ESC i have the rear motor wired first then from the rear motor the wires go to the front motor.

Doesn't matter. I'm assuming you mean it won't hold it's position on an incline. You drive up say..half way and stop. It will roll backwards down the incline. If that's the case. Sorry. Nothin' you can do on a clod w/ lathes. For whatever detailed explanation people can come up with, the point is it won't hold it's own weight. Also, the small pinions we use don't help much either. This also depends on a number of factors, but usually they will roll. Heavy |
