| What's the difference between Clod and Bull
Hey guys, I just joined the fun here. I'm in the process of building a crawler. I'm pretty sure I want to go with the Clod mod. I just need some freakin' axles. So here is my question. Is the any difference in the axles on a Clod and a Bullhead? Thanks for any help. This site rocks. |

The axles are the same the only difference is the body. You can but just the gearcases at http://members.aol.com/clodjunkyard/junkyard.htm.

Yep, axles are the same. If yer gonna do a Mod Clod, save yourself some money and buy the axles, not the whole kit. Unless you find a good deal on Ebay or something. TTR sells the axle only kits brand new for $140, plus they come with instructions....just a thought. http://www.thundertechracing.com/catalog.htm Nothin wrong with buyin em used though like Neo suggested. Forgot about this until I read Grizzly4x4s post. Another place you could get complete axles is RC4WD.com <-Click for link. If you ordre more than just the axles you only have to pay shipping once. |

The bullhead has a cool appearance package, and a few beefier parts, if you're just gonna use the axles, like everyone said, it doesn't matter ;) If you don't have a radio, esc, or anything; I highly suggest going on ebay and looking for a good deal there. I picked up a clod w/ full ball bearings, good shape minus being a bit dirty, and a radio for 150$. Another guy on here got a used clod w/ ESC and a Futaba radio for like 170.. |

Hey thanks for the input guys. I feel better now that I have a little guidance instead of trying to wing it. I'll check out the sites above. I've been watching some stuff on ebay so hopefully something will pan out soon.
