| The Dust Guppy gets a rebuild (COMPLETE NEW CHASSIS)
Check out the Dust Guppy v2. A brand new lighter, flater and lower CG chassis for the Dust Guppy. Still at 16" wheel base but a higher ground clearance at 4 3/4" (now if I get some 7" tires on there...). Overall chassis height dropped almost 1 1/2" and GC went up 3/4" Oh sexy cut-n-shut Giant-Tracs -PF |

Dangit man, you guys caint go and rebuild before I even get a chance to catch up!! Looks really good Pinchy, the chassis looks very sleek and compact and with the cut-n-shut PLGT's the overall package looks like it should werk even better. What is the distance from the top of the frame rails to the bottom of the skidplate? Mine is about 2.5", just looking to compare. I tried mounting my shocks on the links like that and the links flopping around seemed real annoying. How do you keep this from ahppening or do you just live with it? Again, looking good man, caint wait to meet up again. |

Thanks... Grizz: I got a new band saw and drill press and had to break them in... The original DG was made all with hand tools and a dremel. Power tools RULE! The distance from the top or the frame rails to the bottom of the skidplate is right at 2.25". As far as the shock link mounting being floppy... We found that if you mount he shocks upside down, so the non-ball-pivot side is mounted to the cable tie thing, it drastically reduces the flop. No side to side flop at all, pretty darn solid. nktml: I couldn't resist cutting them... and they turned out awsome. AND, I do have another new and untouched set. I wish Pro-Line would make some new Giant-Tracs that are 7" tall like the BFG and the new LST tires... There would be no better all aroung tire for crawling IMHO. -PF |

OK here are a couple of pics of the "Gay Pride" lid. It is supposed to be a tie-dye paint job but it looks a little too rainbow to me. What can I say it was a cheap pre-painted body. So I doubed the lid the "Gay Pride" lid. -PF |

Hey, if guys say you have a nice body theres nothing wrong with that! Rig looks good. I'd insert some derogatory statement about how mine's gonna whip it's ass, but I'll wait to run the mouth until I don't get smoked by team Utah first. I'm workin on a new rig. Hope to be done by Moab. |
