Pretty much any 4" shock should work on those. Imex and RC4WD both make crawling tires that are a direct fit on stock Clod wheels.

Those are TLT shocks which are longer, so probably not. Plus they're expensive and don't work well.

I've had good luck with both Associated TMaxx and Traxxas aluminum big bore shocks, but there are a ton of 4" shocks available.

you'd get a better selection of tires for crawling if you switched up to 40 series rims.

If one was to switch up to 40 series what kind of wheel hex would one need?

Would depend on the wheels you choose. 23mm is probably the most common, but there are 14mm and 17mm wheels available as well.

What brand of hex would fit over those splines? I am also building an A-1 crawler and it has the same size stubshafts as the PTI Goliath, I want to convert them both to 40 series wheels, and I want them to use the same type of wheel and tire if possible. Thanks

Gmade makes some tires that should be pretty decent for crawling.
