Default Gecko clod link question

I have a gecko clod and the links are mounted on the bottem of the chassis. Im wanting to get a bit more articulation out of my gecko so I was going to mount the links on top of the axles to see if this would help it get a little more.
Its obvious that its going to alter the ground clearance for one. And I dont really want it to have a higher CG. Im running traxxas big bores in the center hole on the bottem links. It will also alter the axle angle unless I reposition the upper links if I stand correctly.
If I could get some advise from some gecko owners would be great. Im going to take some pics and post them later tonight.
