Default straight axle and adapter issues

I have some issues going on here and need some helpful advise. I was putting on the 12mm to 14mm TTR wheel adapters on when the end of the axle threads broke off in the barrel nut,
I did some research and saw the crawler store sells them for $7 each.
Is there somewhere where I can get a few of them for a better price then that? I also need to know if its possible to get just one side of the straight axle. Not sure who makes the straight axle but it has the threaded end like the front axle stub. Not like the TTR where you have to have the special adapter.
I was getting all stoked up on the build and just got shot down

I was thinking af maybe taking a die and running it down to thespline and getting a longer barrel nut. Here is a pic. Is there someone who carries a longer barrel nut?

I dont know who carries the axle anymore. So you must be talking about the long barrel nuts.
I did see them listed I will just have to see what one is the longer one I will need If I have to go that route.
