First of all, my problem is the tires rub the bottom links when I turn right or left. I would like to know if there is a way to cut the rims to make them narrower, but at the same time push them out some so I can turn without them rubbing. If anyone has info on this please let me know. I tried to search the site to find some, but nothing found. I had once seen a post on cutting and narrowing rims/ with pics, but I tried and could not find it. Post a link to it if you know the one I'm talking about. Any other options for widening/pushing tires out to clear links, let me know. Thanks Clark |

just take the tire off of the wheel and then cut the INNER bead off of the wheel (the side closest to the axle). that will effectively "push" the tire about 1/4"-1/2" out from the C hub. Just make sure you either glue, or rubberband your tire on the inner bead to make sure it stays put :P

Thanks for the info on the wheels. I'll give the cutting a try. I'll let you know if that gave me enough room to stop the rubbing. Does anyone know how to get the cable ties I used to mount the shocks to the links to quit moving during jumps and such. I can't figure it out..... They are tight but the jarring moves them. Just wondered if there was a quick fix, rather than buying aluminum link mounts. Later Clark |

linkskids solves 2 problems. 1. lower links being thrashed by the rocks 2. plastic lower shock mounts slipping and being damaged |

Krod_Clod, What are link skids, I've never heard or seen them that I know of. Can you post a pic or a link to a pic. Thanks. Clark |
