How much? I'll have to tally it up and get back to you. :? I have heard that it is possible to fit the TXT tranny into the Mach I chassis. After looking closer it would seem that some hole drilling might be needed to mount tranny, upper and lower mounts. | |

I thought the Clod was 4 wheel independent steering???? I'm going to have to buy a kit to make it that way? Why is the Clod stock steering bad?

I have a gecko 2 and for comps the utrcrc V2 beats it out hands down Kaetwo and pinchflat did their homework well this chassis is a great comp chassis Go for he V2 man its awsome. Or the mach 1 chassis looks great to and is a proven comp chassis I don't know much about it I have not seen one in our comps yet. I know I said what all of you did but I have to give my two cents two RockSurfer |

TJEEPERMAN / The stock Clodbuster is not INDEPENDANT 4 wheel steering. Both front and rear axles turn at the same time. What they are talking about is being able to turn the front and rear wheels different from one another. like this /---/ \---\ or just the front or rear tires without | | /---/ \---\ moving the other ones. The stock Clod setup can only turn them like this /---/ \---\ | | \---\ /---/ Hope this helps you understand. I don't have any actual pics on my computer to show this. I hope you can understand the diagrams. Hey, how are you guy's able to get the pics posted? I am fairly new here. Thanks. |

I did a little bit more research after I read the last few posts and correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like in order to have independent front and rear steer I will have to get another Servo and steering setup for the rear. I'm guessing in order to get them to steer independent of eachother I will have to wire them a certain way? Will any controller work or will I have to have one that can handle that. I ordered a Clod over ebay with controller but all I know about the controller is its a futaba trigger style radio.

you'll need a third channel for the rear steer, and not the 'on-off' third channel on most surface radios. There's info on this site about how to add a toggle to get rear steer w/ three channels.

Hands down the Mach1 is the best choice. The Mach1 chassis only is a great price, $85! The Mach1 chassis is an awesome competition chassis and the designers have been crawling longer than anyone else around here. The gecko's are not good comp trucks, but they are very nice CNC machined chassis. The Mach1 is also a machine made chassis, so it's high quality. I think the Mach1 plates are cut with high pressure water jets on a computer controlled machine, really nice quality. and remember, there are allot of other things you have to get for your crawler: Motors $40 High torque servos $80 for 2 super rooster $85 used servo mounts $30 top link mount $30 etc............... the Mach1 is available here: http://www.rcrockgear.com/ here's my Mach1: more pics of it here: http://rccrawler.com/postt3369.html and here's another Mach1: http://rccrawler.com/postt3405.html http://www.monstertruckparts.com.au/...I%20trucks.htm .. |
