| What would you recommend for a newbe?
Hi all, I'm a newbe to the crawling scene but have been lurking around for a while now. My question is what electronics would you recommend. I have a 2 channel traxxas transmitter and reciever but I only get like 5 feet out of it. My clod has stock cans but one is going so I need some new ones. I'm going to get some 9 tooth pinions, but would like to get some motors that i can gear up to go fast because i dont know of too many spots where I live to crawl. I was looking at getting a lrp f1 pro reverse but my funds are kinda low. So just woundering what you guys run. Also what cheap servos are any good? Any help is appreciated. Thanks |

If you want to go fast gearing down is the last thing you want to do. About your transmitter. Open up the receiver and make sure the antenna wire is still attached to the circuit board, and that there are no breaks in the wire. For crawling stock cans, Magnetic Meyhems, and 55x1 lathe motors are popular. All those will be slow if you want to bash/go fast. I used to have some 17x1 Speed Gen sapphires on my Clod. They were faster than stock, but not overly fast. They are not the greatest for crawling though. You'll have to decide if you want crawling motors or bashing motors. The Novak Super Rooster is the king for dual motor monster trucks. Mine has been going forever. You can find them cheaper used on Ebay. New they are quite pricey. |

just replace the wire, not the reciever. You said one of your motors is going, what do you mean (whats it doing?).
