| Dyeing Stock Clod Wheels
I have a question. Are Stock Clodbuster wheels dyeable? Will they absorb the dye well? I'm wanting to dye some black, but I don't want the wheels ending up a gray color because the dye didn't take well. Thanks for any help. |

NO steps to get black Clod wheels 1. Go find a set of CRP wheels in virgin white (pretty damn hard) and pay about 40 bucks a pair for em... OR 2. Go to your local paint supply shop and pick up a can of Krylon fusion in black (or whatever other color you want) and spray em. They dont chip/crack/peel etc with the fusion paint. Just do 5 light coats until they are all black Be happy! |

That Fusion paint rocks! I use it a lot, let it dry for at least a full 24 hours before putting the tires on. I use as few coats as needed to get coverage. It doesn't take many, this stuff covers well. I covered some black clod parts with yellow and it was just one mist coat and one wet coat and it was done. Remember that the thicker the paint is, the easier it will chip. The clod wheels are either styrene or ABS. I believe that only nylon parts will take dye. |

Alright. I guess painting is the only option. I want some narrowed, black wheels. I have some black wheels right now. I just don't want to cut them up. Remember the colored wheels RCMT sold for a short time a ways back? I have a set of those.
