Default Aluminum Hubs

I ordered a set of aluminum hubs by accident for my clod, oops. Guess thats what I get for ordering parts when I was drinking;) Anyway, my question is are they worth keeping? I'm building a crawler so I know the torque will be increased. Dose anyone have issues with their plastic hubs?

I've never broken one. I've sheared plenty of studs off wheels though, which implies to me the plastic ones are plenty strong. They're just a *bling* item for show trucks.

Chafey, are you breaking the steering arm off the knuckle? That's the most common place to break one from what I have heard. I have never done it myself. I can imagine it possible with big tires, a powerful servo, and no servo saver though. I'm sure steering geometry could have an effect on it also. If the steering links are mounted in a way that they put a twisting force on the knuckle arm it would probably increase the chance of it breaking considerably.

I've broken the steering arm off the knuckle. I've also broken the c-hub/knuckle/brace thingy twice, once at the upper brake mount where my 4link bar is mounted, and once right at the bend on the c. OK pics will explain better

ooooooooooooooooooooooooh

I was thinking you meant what the wheel mounts to, the hub.

Are you talking about the knuckle or the inner C/axle tube?

I've broken the same as adam, one knuckle and two inner C's
