| Upper link mount
I'm building a clod and have been looking around for ideas. Most upper link mounts are the type that mount in the stock belcrank location but I just came across this mount: http://defiance.rcmt.net/clod.html Some of you have probably seen this before but I'd like some opinions. Thanks |

I never seen these defiance mounts before, I like the idea of moving the top mounts right above the motor, however I don't know if it has clearance for adjustable motor mounts which is a must for crawler. Just not enough information to pass judgement on this yet. But looks promising.

While I don't know everything about suspension geometry, I think the RCP style upper link mounts are probably better as the upper links would be longer and could be closer to the length of the lower links. I didn't consider the motor adjustment problem either. Just saw these and thought I'd ask about them. |

The defiance upper mount mounts may solve some problems with ppl who uses tubular chassis. The longer upper links sometime hits the cross braces when in compress mode. So using defiance upper mounts with shorter upper links would fix that problem.
