Default wire connectors?

I just go my tekin speed ESC in today and was looking at it and it has the two wires coming out of it that connect to the lathe motors, and each one has some kind of barrel connector on the end. What type of connectors am I going to need to wire in my two lathe motors and I guess I'll need some sort of splitter? Or is it more common to cut those off and just solider and heat shrink to hard wire it all? Also, I'm waiting on the reciever and the servos, am I going to need any connecters for those?
Thanks a bunch, can't wait to get started on this thing

I think your looking at the factory installed motor connectors on the pink and blue wires. Pink and blue are motor. Black and red battery

Correct. The red & black wires for the battery have a white plastic clip that looks like the one on the nylint battery charger (male plug) and then each of the purple and red wires that connect the motors have a barrel looking connector.
What type of connectors are you using for each, looks like you cut those off and replaced them? I guess the battery connectors depend on the battery you use, I was looking at this one. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...JZD1&P=7://url
Does this look like a good deal or are there better batteries out there?

Personally, I would get rid of the stock battery and motor connectors that come stock (as I did) and replace them w/ Deans Ultra plugs.

If you decide to stick w/ the stock connectors then you could use these connectors on the motors.

As for batteries, I would contact John Rob Holmes from Holmes Hobbies right here on RCC's vendor section. He can hook you up w/ just about any kind of battery you want or need.

Pre assembled batteries are ok, but Johnrob's batteries will out perform them IMO.

I think thats what I'm going to do, any good source for these, I'm checking out ebay now. Thanks for the tip the on batteries, I'm going to look into that.

Also, this is the type of battery you are using correct? Seems like a great price and well worth it, what do you think of it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll..._BID_Stores_IT
Also, chargers being so expensive, any recomendations?

Yes that is a good battery. here is a good charger for the money. Don't worry about asking questions. Better to ask a question than not to.

I appreciate your help. I made sure to put in some extra hours this week to make sure I can order the last bit of stuff soon. If it wasn't for summer school and paying rent on an apartment this buildup would be done already
