these are the parts that have come in until yesterday, the nylint i already owned for over a week, and it's been fun, got some wheel adaptors for the clod, got a clod with a chassis that i'll try to get running this weekend, this way i'll be more educated as to what chassis i really want enjoy and any comments are welcome http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01205.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01204.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01203.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01202.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01199.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01196.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01198.jpg

you might wanna try different tires them flame ones dont grip good on rocks they are more of a on road type and maybe a bigger body

I have to agree with Dez, it looks like you're well on your way in collecting some of the things you will need for a crawler. On those tires however I also have to agree with andrewmp6 when he says they are not the greatest thing on the rocks. They may get you by for a while but sooner or later you'll want a sticky tire that really grabs the rocks like a Moab. I can answer your question about the stick as that is what I am currently running. I am running a conventional 2 shock setup with hiem joints at this time. I have also ran several different torsion designs in the past so can give you an opinion based on my personal experience. Both sticks are good machines in my opinion. I do have to say that I slightly favor the conventional 2 shock setup over the torsion because of the controlled dampening. The stick chassis itself is incredible by most standards. This thing will crawl places I have a hard time getting over on my feet! If you get a stick you won't be unsatisfied unless it's with the ease that you conquer all terrain.

I like it, but I would get the 16 inch wheel base.

I don't think I've heard anything but good about the CPE-EVO chassis so you should be happy with it, unless you're planning on some hard core rock crawling competition where you'll have problems with the Stick and the NN chassis. As far as the tires are concerned in my opinion I have to go with the Moabs for the rocks and maybe Imex Swamp Dawgs for the mud. At any rate I wish you good luck with your build and let us know how it's going.

that's the chassis i'll probably end up getting, carbon fiber or no? is it worth it, besides weight advantage, would you get it? also i got bored just waiting for parts so i decided to make the wheelbase longer on the clod i had here, it almost as long as the nylint now http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01229.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01224.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01228.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01227.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01226.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...n/DSC01225.jpg

If you have the cash, go for it. I'm running CF links on my 2.2 and I will soon on my Clod. A ton of articulation isn't necessary. About 70 degrees is more than enough.

CF links are good because not only are they very light they are also strong as hell. I was just sitting here looking at a few of the pics you just posted. Man that truck is setup way old school. Can't wait for you to get the new chassis and try it out, the difference will amaze you. Might want to look into getting some rock rings for those pretty wheels too. They sure can get torn up fast out on the rocks.
