Default Axle stay question?

I am some what new to the crawling hobby. I have a clod w/ the steering servo on the axle stay and am having problems with the screw going to the gearbox always coming loose. Is there a way to fix this problem or a better way to mount the servo? It seems like that is the best place for the servo.

Welcome to RCC. Try coating the threads of the screw w/ clear fingernail polish before tightening it down. Good luck!

Default Loose Screws?

You could try Thread Locking Loctite or the Steel Loctite. If you don't want to do that you can get a type of puty from an auto parts store. This stuff gets as hard as steel.

You could buy/make a bracket to stop the unit twisting/rotating thus undoing the screw.

Thats exactly what I did. a small bracket going from the ft of the servo mount to the gearcase down lower. Works good enough that now I bend aluminum steering arms
