Default My new BTA servo bracket

So I've been working on how to get this BTA steering going on my 2.2 clod crawler without changing suspension geometry. I think I have found a solution even though it does require a little bit of axle tear down to mount up.

Here is my current steering setup which isn't to good for approaching obstacles.

Here is what I think might work....

and a rear view of the BTA setup on the axle

I went ahead and mocked it up out of 3mm plastic. Seems to work out good so far for clearence. It will have two lower mounted holes and one upper mounting hole (upper axle brace hole)

I'm sure it can be designed to attach to the other axle brace hole (near the knuckle)

What do you guys think? Waste of time? I'm hoping to make an aluminum version soon.

Take Those Servo Mounts You Have And Put Them On Axle Brace In The Outer Holes And Run The Servo That Way So It Lays Down That Way You Keep The Axle Brace

Looks like a serious amount of falling rate servo horn motion?

Awesome drarwrings though.

I can't run axle braces because of my shock locations. I have the lower part of the shock mounted to the same spot as the lower link. This would interfere with a stock axle brace. That is why I didn't try the normal way.

EeePee, That's my biggest concern. I can also rotate the servo around the axle to help out with that I believe.
