| Bullhead / Clodbuster Gearbox question
Im new to the site and also new to Clods. i brought a Bullhead, has 2 Brandnw Sport tuned motors .. fully ballraced. Now on inspection the front gearbox has more resistance then the rear.. when engaged .. but spins freely (both wheels in opposite directions ) when not. when the motors power up.. both front and rear wheels stop at same time... but i def think theres is more of noise from the front motor than the rear. Would be very gratefull for any advice |

you will find that the tuned motors will have timing advance, as you are running one the right way and one backwards, the one running backwards will have retarded timing and will be a lot slower the the other, unless you can adjust the timing (rotate the endbell of the motor) there is nothing you can do, except possibly go to motors that you can adjust or go brushless

The motors themselves won't change the amount of resistance, just be slower or faster than the other. Take apart your gearcase and look for any signs of wear. Could be the gear mesh is a little tight, or a screw has bottomed out on one of the gears. Also check around the diff itself to make sure everything is spinning freely. Get the cases too tight, and you can see this problem also... |

you have to rotate the endbell of the motor. how do you have the motors wired in parallel or series
