Default stick chassis links help

i have a home brew stick clod and just wondering whats the best way to attach the links to the middle of the chassis and help is appriciated

if you are going to build yours that is

When I used links, I just used a long screw that went all the way through the backbone. So one link was held on by the head of the screw and a nut held the other side on.
