Lots of stock Clods will break the lower shock mounting points off of the suspension arms. If you've got an original Clod (from the 80's or early 90's), then you may also have problems cracking the chassis where the suspension arms mount to the center of the chassis. Super Clod kits came with metal chassis stiffener plates that helps prevent this from happening. You'll also find that the stock steering system is something less than perfect. You may want to upgrade that to an aluminum steering kit that provides much better steering response. You can still use all the stock steering parts, this kit just replaces the plastic servo savers mounted on the gearboxes. We offer this kit to correct that problem: http://www.crawfordperformanceengine...R2&log_pid=yes Enjoy running the truck around, and if/when you decide to upgrade parts of it, this is the place for building some great rock crawlers! Good luck! |

CPE MT, you're exactly right, those are the only two things that ever broke when mine was stock. But as andrewmp6 said, the speed controller sucks. |
