Default clod axle shafts

I am thinking of upgrading my axle shafts an need some input. I have not broke an axle shaft yet, but it will happen. I am upgrading to front and rear wheel steer and want to compete in the future. But I am debating on thundertech racing shafts or 303 steel axles from rc4wd. I already have offset maximizer rims on 3/4 ACE mfg. adapters. So I dont want to space the tires any wider.
Are both axles comparable in strength? If not, Should I ditch my offset rims and or spacer adapters and go for the thundertech shafts. That would mean getting new rim faceplates with no offset and possibly rc4wd t-maxx wheel adapters.

If you are broke and have no money the RC4WD ones are better than stock, but in my opinion, save your money and get the thundertech CVDs nothing can compare. I've had both so I know.

Keep your wheels and Heydco adapters and get the Thundertech CVDs from The Crawlerstore.

Would this combo make me even wider. The thundertech axles widen your stance by 3/4", do they not. 3/4" rim offest, 3/4" adapters and 3/4" wider axles, this widen me by 2 1/4". Would need a robot servo to steer those tires with that width.

Whoops I forgot that the axles widened the track.

I'd get rid of the wideners and keep the wheels. Ace made himself and me a set of thin 12mm to 14mm adapters. PM him and see if he'd be willing to make some more.

I would save up for the TTR CVD's and get some RcGuy wheel adapters. They're super thin, cheap, and should make the width of your truck perfect

do bender's 23mm wheel adapters work with the thunder tech axles.
(P.S. did anyone else notice these aren't constant velocity joints)

Ok, now you got me recontemplating my axle choices. How did you blow thundertech axles? I mean they are bigger in diameter and just look way beefy. And why did you go rc4wd 303's? Are they made out of better metal than the thundertech's?

Yes, the CVD's have the same 12mm hex that the stock clod pieces have so the Bender stuff will work.

What do you mean they aren't CVD's? They look exactly like any other CVD I've owned?

How?

You're either running some seriously offset wheels or throwing your truck off cliffs. I know of two people that have went back to stock pieces after using the RC4wd axles because of poor tollerances and I've yet to hear any complaints out of the TTR stuff.

Don't the TTR's come with a lifetime warrenty?

true they look like all other R/C CVD's but they aren't true cvd's, they are a glorified u-joint, the shafts won't always be at the same rpm.
