Stock electronics? You mean MSC? Hell no!! Get a cheap ESC (MOPED, Silver star, etc) 'cuz the MSC sucks for a whole host of reasons. It jitters randomly, decreases runtime, and is unresponsive. It's pants

Rant over

i have found for an esc that the tekin rebel 2 is very capable for crawling. I run 2 stock cans atm with 2 high torque servos all powered off the same bat.

A Novak super rooster? If so, it's used widely for crawleing, and has a good reputation. How many channels does your Tx/Rx have?

I've just started my first build as well, yes its a bit confusing as to where links should head to and what not but you will get a much better feeling when your rig is done if you do it yourself man. So far all I have done is one clod axle done all locked up and the chassis is half made. I'll post a picture once I get the other parts I need for the rear axle and I have to make up some upper links as well. Can't wait as its the most modding I've had to do with rc vehicles to date. So ya, do it yourself.. you'll love it that much more in the end I feel!

CRUSHER, if you have the tools to do so, (drill, tin snips, vice, file) then make your own chassis. You'll gain a good knowledge of how it works and what its limitations are, enabling you to drive it with more skill. I know its corny, but you'll also get a great deal of pride from it when it's done

that seems like a good way to go, but i still think i want an NN chassis built by you, because i have seen your work, and i can supply all the stuff, i think?

I have a feeling that this build is going to look great, and be fun to finish, thanks to all of the stuff STANG is doing for me, i know that sounds alittle corny

If STANG builds you a chassis then it is not an NN. If you buy the NN from TheCrawlerStore.com then it is an NN.

Please put some tech in this thread or I will move it, I am getting sick of these "What chassis should I get" threads..
