Default The Grunt M3 (Pimping)

Well I am now underway on the 3rd generation of the Grunt!

Version 1.0 and 2.0 were 2.2 TLT based and were awesome crawlers!

But, I wanted a 2.2 Clod based rig and I wanted to try the Torsion Stick design. So I relinquished ownership of the TLT and picked up a Torsion Clod.

Here are the specks:

CLOD AXLES
PIMP CANE CHASSIS
DFI BTA STEERING
2.2 MOABS & M2K's
MOPED ESC
ALUMINUM KNUCKLES (as soon as I can find a set)
HITEC 645
TR3
55T LATHES (UNTIL THE OTHER MAMBA/REVOLVER COMBO ARRIVES)
HPI BAJA BUG BODY

I'm going to completely rebuild the new arrival, replace all of the hardware w/ stainless 4/40 and M3 hardware, cleaning and lubrication the gears and bearings, paint a new body, vent the tires and generally make it my build.

I'm kind of a stickler for details!

Anyways I'll have some picks up later.

Dez

The chassis is installed, the rear steer lockouts were replaced w/ carbon fiber units, I've modded the front knuckles and stub axles (and made a trip to the hardware store for that one e-clip that shot off the stub axle and into the great unknown ) to allow more steering, replaced the bushings in the knuckles w/ bearings, built some carbon fiber steering links, vented the wheels, cleaned and reinstalled the motors, installed the front servo, installed the receiver and built a Lexan antenna mast.

Tomorrow I'll make a carbon fiber battery mount tray and install it on the front axle. Mount the tires, install the ESC, trim and lower the body (temporary body) and give it a shake down run.

It will be done tomorrow morning and all in under 2 pages!
