I like that one too, I've seen pics of one of them before. Yeah, I made this. The cage is 3/16 OD steel tubing Brazed together. The center structure is made from one solid piece of aluminum and provides a nice smooth belly pan and it will house all of the electronics and batteries. The body panels are made from .025 T-3 clad aircraft aluminum. They're polished to a mirror finish, very strong and yet very light. | |

Looks good Since it's on the scale side. I would cut the tires to look like tsl's. I don't have a pic of just the tires so here is the whole truck, but you can clearly see the tires in it. Last edited by Cole82; 09-17-2006 at 07:09 AM. |

Here are a few more pictures of a Scorpion that I'm working on. I made this one with a slightly longer wheelbase than I usually do and the tube portion of the chassis is almost two inches longer than usual. It took me a little while to get used to the flourescent paint but i thnk it looks good. Once I clear coated the paint it darkened it up a little. Oh and I added some 1/10 scale bucket seats that I made and also a steering wheel that I just made last weekend. Just adds a little bit of realism. |

At work last week I had a little extra time so I made a few sets of these bead rings, they turned out pretty good I think. The small holes are where the screws are going to hold the ring to the wheel, I'll use stainless steel screws that are the same as the ones I use on all my chassis. I want to narrow the wheels a little bit more and cut the tires so I havent screwed the rings to the wheels just yet. Made from polished aircraft aluminum that is the same as the panels on the body.
