Default pick my CLOD plan apart...

here is what i wanna order from Tower Hobbies...
The Battery is crappy, but i already have one just
like it and intend on running them both on the truck
for longer run time. i kno most of you wont like this
radio but i prefer stick over the knob style and i will
need 4 ch... I want to use 2 ESC's for the 4WS
and DIG abilites. That also means no Clod Stall. :-)

(1) Futaba 4VWD 4ch AM radio
(2) Integy Matrix Pro Lathe 65Turn
(2) 9Tooth Pinion
(1) Clod Kit
(1) Tower Hobbies 1500mAh
i already have 2 old ESC's but the manage the BEC problem i'll use Rechargable AA in a rx pack

keep in mind this will be an all out rig, no comps, just my best creativity at work
ok start knockin my ideas so i can fine tune before i place the order...

that ESC doesn't have the amp/volt power to provide 2 servo's and will cut out on you. I know because I had that same one and couldn't handle 2 645mg's. better off using it for the wb adjuster and getting a SR or Rebel II for the steering.

If you want adjustable wheelbase, keep both ESCs. One for your WB motor, one for your drive motors.

I tryed a modded hitec 645mg and it was nowhere near strong enough so don't hack up a good servo. Not only was it just barely strong enough to turn the rod 6 or 7 times over but it was slower than crap. you might get a 1/4 scale to do it but again, it's slow, if you mess with the gearing to speed it up you'll lose the power you thought you had. I truely don't thing a 1/4 scale will cut it while crawling, maybe on level ground and no throttle but that's about it. That's why I went with my design, it's nice cause you can extend the chassis, get the 2 front tires on the ledge, shorten the chassis and it's just about crans itself up, then with the short wb you can crest the top much cleaner and not get highcentered. just thought i would add that. have fun with the build, i did. kinda cool to see it all come together
