i kind of built a "boat in a basement" lol cant get the tuber off the block jig lol i had to grove the block on the far side...and i cant get it off the wood lol...

well with allitle "coaxing" i got it off and finished the last two bars, and drilled the lower link holes. tonight ill mock it up. wont have time to powdercoat before the TXRCRCA meet this saterday. so ill probly just leave it raw for now...

What kind of weld do you use with these things.. i'm gonna guess copper solder, and a soldering gun?

mapp gas and Harris Safety-Silv 56 silver solder...

im anxious to try my cut in half washer idea... hadnt seen anyone try that. seemed like a good way to do it... flat, solid, straight, and easy to reproduce...

got her all mocked up last night. next i got to make a skid plate, and body panels. these maxx shocks are too short..and savage shocks are too long... so im playing with that trying to find a happy medium...

Good looking tuber. You might want to move the upper shock mounts to a point on the chassis that will allow a little more angle in them.

I have an idea for shocks for you... the CEN Gen LE shocks.
Longer then maxx, shorter than savage, beefy as hell and a working reservoir.

I have a set I can send you cheap. PM for details/pics if you want.

well i took it out for test run last night. stripped and broke a wheel hub, and lost servo screw (how the hell does that happen?) but got it patched back up its way too high/top heavy(with the shortened savage shocks) and too light. i would kill to find some 5" shocks. even 4.5"

you can see the striped wheel hub here. its also cracked completely in two. but i pushed it back together. i put a zip tie around the broken hub for a temporary fix (there the only wheels/tires i have)

got the frame temporarily painted (having Double J powdercoat it silver after the TXRCRCA comp this saturday) and also got the roof, hood, and trunk body panels cut and painted. there gonna go under the bars, to show off the tube work. if i get time ill cut the door panels as well.

HELLO?

well got her ready for the comp saturday. i ran out of lexan so i had to make some temporary "doors" out of aluminum. and when i got done i was like damn! they look sweet! i think it will look even better once its powder coated silver, the frame really will pop then....
well its dark and i cant get any decent pics, but here are the ones i attempted...
