Sounds like you know what to do. CVDs and aluminum knuckles are the way to go.

The cheapest way is to remove the plastic stops from the hubs and shave the inner portion of the Clod stub axles. Dezfan has a how-to thread/photo somewhere on this. Just make sure your tires won't hit your lower 4-link bars with that much travel.

You also have to wory about the tie rod and drag link contacting the gearcase prior to full turn as well.

Cut the stops off the top and bottom of the knuckles, and then mod the outer axle in this manner.

Nets a fairly large increase over stock.

It looks like you shortened the length of the hub the dog bone rides in on the outer axle and or changed the outside diameter of the same hub on the axle. is this correct. If so roughly how much was removed from the length and how much was the dia.turned down ?

Thanx

The diameter was not turned down at all, the factory finish was simply removed.

As for the length, it was reduces approximately 2mm.

Shortening the stub will allow it to turn a bit further before it makes contact w/ the axle.

The standard measurement (beleive it or not, metric measurments are used in the U.S. as well ) would be around a 1/16 of an inch.

Yes, chamfering the inside edge does help.

As long as you don't go much beyond the 2mm reduction, you should have any problems w/ the axle and stub disengaging.

I think having 2 esc for front/rear dig would help alot. If you did, you have to get radio with 4 or more channels
