Default Project: "Sinister Silverado" *Now Carbon Fiber*

Specs:
Clod Axles
55T
Moped ESC
16" wheel base
2WS (for now)
Moab XLs
Axial beadlocks
Proline Silverado HD (MGT, LST, TNX, Genesis)

heres the design i drew up in AutoCad



pattern transfered, and location for all the holes punched



plates, cut, ground, and drilled: bolted together so there identical.



sheetmetal shop is bending up my skidplate now. pic it up after work. by tonight i should have her together and moving under her own power.

Looks like the Vertical Smile and the NN had a baby...

Except it's twice as heavy as both of them together.

HAHA yeah the the aluminum is a bit too thick. (i believe 10G ill have to see if its thicker than my CPE EVO plates) but hey it was free. im probly gonna drill a 1.5" hole right in the center, and probly a couple of 1/2" holes in the shock mount "arms" to try to shed some weight.

im plesantly suprised at the weight! it much lighter than it looks and i expect. im not gonna drill it out i dont think.

ok got her all finished. pics suck cause its dark but here they are....







shes got alot more flex in her. i need to move my chassis upper link points to the other hole, its hitting the motor and gear case now. but moving it will rotate all that out of the way. now i just gotta wait for my wheels, tires, and body....


and thats how i build a clod comp crawler in a half a day...

plate are very thick but it's give a strong and stable for crawling....that's beautiful chassis :-P

it JUST came in. that along with the body posts. and i just won the ebay auction for my Moab XLs, and im fixing to pay rockpiledriver for the Axial Beadlocks as soon as he gets back to me with the quote. now im just waiting for the 12mm to 17mm adaptors to be made....

got the body trimed on the factory cut lines. got alot of triming to do obviously. and the XLs are gonna be even worse. well here she is so far...
