Default axle mounted batteries?

on my other clod i made split pack axle mounted cells, but i was wondering if anyone really noticed it helped that much. on clod crawler #2 i am using an NN chassis, which has a pretty low cg anyway. should i go with the axle mounted or chassis mounted
