Default mod for small pinions

k, i have a 10t pinion (tower was out of 9t & 8t), and i dont know how to move the motor over so the gears meet. i thought i was gonna be able to dremel the mounting holes into slots, so i can just slide it over. but i cant do this because there is a tube that goes from one side of the gearbox to the other. its kinda hard to explain but i hope you guys know what im talking about. am i gonna have to dremel both of the tubes out and make slots? or is there another way? i dont want to buy anything cuz i pretty much have a machine shop in my basement.

OR... You could dremel one the the motor mounts holes into a curved 'slot'. That will allow the motor to slide and bring the gear mesh closer.

Adjustable motor mounts are easiest the way to go. Everything just bolts on and you don't run the chance of messing up your gearbox.
