Default Another Pimp - Jobu

My latest Pimp build is a 17" WB Clod Pimp Cane. I'm running 55t Lathes w/9t pinions front and back, XRS/Nitro Servo Regulator combo for ESC, TQ3 radio system, HiTec 645 rear and 5945 front servos, and home built 6 cell 3300 mAh NiMh pack. At the moment, I have the cut clods on stock rims but they should be replaced by Wednesday with a little different setup. Here are some starter pics, sorry they are fuzzy. I'm planning on video soon - as soon as I swap out the tires and rims.

I ran it on Sunday, and even with the cut clods, I am super impressed once again with Syco133's torsion chassis. Since I already have the Pimp Slap 2.2, I was used to the limited articulation. It was tight, but with more use, it'll flex more. Simple to build, had to spend more time tweaking things I didn't like about my original HannibalLecter build. If you already have your axles setup the way you like them, the whole thing could come together in a matter of 1/2 hr or so. I am using HPI 4-40 Body Posts that I picked at my LHS.

Pit row tends to be the most Crawler friendly. World of hobbies and Games is on my way home, good for little things but come prepared with part numbers,, HobbyTown tends to have the most in stock, with most things on the walls so you can actually compare things if you are customizing/desigining on the fly. All of the prices are somewhat similar to Tower.

You should see this thing crawl!!! Once again, the Pimp has not let me down in the FUN department. TSC has a comp this weekend, so we'll see if the FUN Factor also transfers into the comp level!!! From what I've read, the driver is 90% of how well this performs...

Yea your screwed cause it is alot of the driver you have to understand where the truck wants to go thats why the more you drive the truck the better the both of you will get.

Nice truck, I like the way you setup your stearing-looks alot like my truck.

You really need to get some Moabs or Moab XL's and go to 40 series rims and fit up some knuckle packs. The way you have your batterys setup now is very high compaired to where they should be idealy . You should have a dramatic increase in performance once you do that.

Just my $.02 ;)

Pit Row is right across the street from the Kenwood Mall. Corner of Kenwood and Montgomery.

Thanks!!! I just got this together in time for the FOTO comp. I've mounted some LSTs with Maximzer wheels that I just got on Tuesday night - yeah a world of difference!!! Planning on knuckle packs this winter - just needed a super to run this weekend. That and some fabbing on servo mounts, tweaking etc. This is our last comp till spring, so I'll have a few months of upgrading.

The Cane is worth it! With the new tires/wheels, I'm getting a lot more flex - about 70* or more. And I can finally climb things like into recliners and on to couches with no effort. The Pimp Cane gets a huge

Sorry MrPink- Went great. Cold as could be on the river, 40*, with a consistant 20-30 mph breeze.

Jobu did great. I didn't drive all that well. I have wideners on it and between the additional 1" on each side and the full sized LST's I was running, I kissed a few gates at the very end.

Video of that run didn't happen. We're going to have to wait till next year for some video unless I actually break the camera out this weekend. I re-worked my Pimp Slap TLT and have been spending a lot more time running that getting ready for our Winter Series - scale an 2.2's.
