| Motor mounts
I am having a hard time mounting the adjustable motor mounts. If you go by the directions the bolts just want to turn when trying to tighten the nuts. Any advice?

Depends what kind you have... but it sounds like you have the ones where the nuts go in the slot and you tighten the bolts from the outside. Last edited by Unholy; 10-27-2006 at 11:54 AM. |

i had the same problem with the first set i bought , you could try to jb weld a nut to the bolt and that way it wont turn any more when you tighten it, or go buy a couple bolts with square top(flange?) and take of the sides so they will slide enough but not turn when you tighten it, hope this helps and that you understand all that i wrote , good luck.

Unholy is right, it sounds like you are doing it backwards. Mine were a pain in the a$$, because when you tightened the plate on the motor it clamped down on the nut so it didn't slide in the slot. Took several tries to get the mesh set right.

I got some more bolts today so I can put the nut on the motor side and pu the bolt through the axle case. The problem before with the way the direction said was the bolt would spin and no way to hold it while trying to install the nut.
