yes i can adjust length, tension and articulation with the center section. here is a better pic. the stick will only allow body roll in one direction this settup will allow body roll in both the orings flex in opposite direction of shocks allowing more adjustable articulation

I get it, but it looks like it would give too much articulation. Is it stable?

It's interesting and inventive...
but it looks like it has way too much articulation.

I'd also worry about the longevity of the orings when actually crawling.
I would guess the truck would twist itself to death on the rocks in the right situation.

Try it out and let us know!

as you can see i use the crap out of it not a show rig. this is not my first crawler and the articulation is limited. this crawler out performes my others but i do need to increase wheelbase, easy enough. i have not had to replace o-rings yet but at .22 cents and about 2 minutes no problem. i will post a vid as soon as i have one. i am new to the forum thing but i have seen alot of great ideas and we will never find anything better until we try. i have changed this design many times, played with spring rate, o-ring thickness, limiting articulation, ect....

You do the Hill Climb?

I damn near got killed up there 2 years ago by an Escudo during that thing.

Gotta love races you can die during without actually being behind the wheel.

You are running the chassis backwards from the way Kevin designed it. The rear axle is tilted upward to help prevent it from being hung up, but you are using it as the front axle. Just curious as to your reason for it. Thanks

i am running it backwards because i wanted the battery tray up front i could have moved the servo to the otherside to make room for the battery but went this route.as far as the axle being tilted i did notice that, i am going to kick the rear as well, dont think there will be a problem with that do you?

I don't see a problem in doing that. On my stick chassis I have 3 sub C's on the front plate and 3 sub C's on the rear plate in a pyramid formation. I made a larger receiver plate and mounted my ESC on it with the receiver. Crawler looks good by the way.

i can extend wheelbase in the center but thinking about longer links in the rear and extending the tube by one inch to give closer to a 40/60 split. probably wont make mutch differance on a stick any coments?
