Default testing new design

i will be back at the rock pile tomorrow for more testing just wanted to post some pics for criticism. first chassis performed great this one has more ground clearance, is more simple, and less weight.

You actually want more articulation than the stock set up on a Stick has?

Default articulation

the aticulation on a stick is not great, it is one of the best crawlers out there but a good four link design has more articulaion. you only have two shocks on a stick so you only have one shock compressed at a time instead of two. wheelbase was extended a little over an inch in the rear and rear links were extended as well for a 40/60 split. ther is a point of too much articulation and the correct amount of down force pushing down on the axle for good traction. i am experimenting with a few different chassis. it is an education in process and i will take any criticism or advise you have.

The 40/60 split will do absolutely nothing on a stick.
No matter what the axle is rotating on the end of the stick.

The perfect amount of flex you are searching for... comes on the stick stock.

Default capacitor

yes that is a power capacitor, it drops ESC operating temperatures 10-15*F remember cooler means more efficient and faster. it also disapates noise and power spikes from the speed controler's high switching speeds.

you have tested that theory? yes i said one of the best crawlers out there i dindnt say perfect thats my opinion. and i am aware the 40/60 split may not help as i posted in "modded stick" in fact it may take away ground clearance but i do not hang up on the rear motor as mutch as the rocks slide over the tubes instead of hanging on the motor

Yes. You can create more flex with a taller shock tower and longer shock.
My Scythe chassis, which is a blatent rip off of "The Stick" went through various configurations to improve flex. No matter what, I came back to the stock stick shock length. My shock towers have extra sets of holes tapped still from the experiments.

Well you edited your post... so the below doesnt matter any more... but to address your motor getting hung up, tilt the rear axle up like the stick was stock! The truck will work even better if NOTHING drags on the rocks.

You never responded to the 40/60 links comment... The links do nothing more than locate the axle ends. It doesn't make a difference in weight distribution like it does in a 4/3 link set up. You can even bend them into funny shapes and as long as it has clearance, it makes no difference in anything.
