| Clodzilla 3 chassis for crawler?
Hello, I have a Clodzilla 3 chassis with the cantilever shock mounts. Using clod diffs, the new BB Motors 55t motors with twin servos, rooster esc, locked gears.... I built this truck over 10 years ago for a basher. Just updated to the 55t motors and locked the diffs and got into rock crawling. My question is, do you guys feel that the Clodzilla 3 chassis is OK for a good crawler or should I moved to a stick type chassis? |

The Zilla chassis will get you started but I doubt it would do good in a real comp. I experimented with a Zilla as crawler... lemme see if I can dig up the pics.

Right now I am using a zilla 3 chassis for crawling, with the sway bars and cantilevers (sp) removed it works well. Might not want to compete with it, but if your just crawling for fun it works fine.

I did manage after some experimentation to get it to articulate decently. Ok here it is with my homemade Dualy singles on it I even had it balanced enough that I could sit it on it's side with the battery in. |
