John Etzler makes a steering kit out of Ti, I use his systems on my race clod with cvds, most steering EVER.

Monsterrc.net is his website

heres some shots of it, hands down the toughest best BTA steering kit you will find. no carbon fiber drag link to wear out and no slop. tough as nails.

best aprt is it WILL work with your lower links mounted ontop of the C hub

when combined with CVD's you get INSANE throw

^^ i don't see any difference between the thundertech and this one besides it being metal, maybe pics of the servo linkage would help, that's where i had my problems with contact on the motor.

you arent looking close enough then. the servo on this one doesnt stand up like the one on the TTR one does so it will not get in the way of your link setup, it uses mounts that move the servo inplace of axle tube brace (lower CG)

the TTR setup uses a thin carbonfiber drag link.. this uses a wider titanium (as close to unbreakable as youll ever get) draglink that wont wear out after is been scraped over rocks like CF will, and CF will eventually crack. the kit also uses 6/32 hardware instead of 4/40 so yet again its beefier..

in reality any great working BTA kit will be alot like the TTR kit since the shape of the drag link has to conform to the back of the gearbox and links and theres only so many ways to slice the same pie, but this ones stronger, more versatile and has a higher badass factor being that its made from exotic titanium.

you can contact john at jetzler@midviewinternet.com . me makes awesome tool steel 4 link bars as well that will hold up to a nuclear explosion... oh yeah and his link mounts

look at these bad boys!

from john at MonsterRc, the same guy who makes the BTA kit. drop him an email for prices. the upper link mounts do something no other upper link mount does by moving the mounting point for the links back so that they in line with the lower links being mounted to the axle tube so that you get the correct geometry using a shorter upper link. that and they have 3 mounting points.. 2 along the front of the gearbox and one farther back up top to keep them from rotating from side to side.

and yeah, you can build your own BTA kit but your still using ballends and a draglink. how many times have you seen guys bust a ball end on a draglink from a huge dropoff or a nasty hit? this removes ballends from the draglink assembly completly asside from the ones connecting the servo to it. the draglink will never fail. any BTA kit is a huge improvement from the standard setup up front, but ill take a stronger, nice setup over a kind of strong, nice setup any day, even if i have to shell out a little extra cash. we have been running these steering kits on our race trucks for a while now in situations where ballends dont last long and busted steering links are a common thing to see, and not one of these things has failed or even come close to it.
