The lower shock mounts that come with the CFNN kit are setup for a traxxas 3mm shoulder bolt and that is what the top of the shock take so when you put them on they go upside down the reason for this i do not know but it works fine.

4 shocks filled with oil weigh what a HOLE 3 maybe 4 oz. i could put a few pieces of dirt and some water and weigh more than that so i dont think that that make a big diff on the center of gravity

yes every little bit does help but through out the hole truck 3-4 oz for the shocks then well if you had hollowed out the 4 link and the tiers had holles drilled in them maybe lose 2 oz then why run a bodie they are like 8-9 oz after paint i mean it could go on forever, but hey every one has their own opinions and thoughts me myself wouldnt care

Also when there's no ball end on the top of the shock body, with the strap and collar set up the CFNN has lets the shock pivot on the link and not bind

Cool pics, I think the rubi looks strangely good when it's chopped up like that.

The crawler worked much better this time out the big rock that was impossible to climb before was not a problem at all but with a total of 9 ounces of weight in each front wheel it did not like having to pull the front out of holes or pull over stuff that was undercut so i removed 2 ounces a wheel and it seemed a little more agile.
The wheels are axial 40 series 8 hole beadlocks narrowed 3/4 and with holey roller beadlock rings with moab xl tires.
The 96 impala ss is mine .It is a work in progress ( i started spending money on rc crawlers and put it on the backburner for a while and started just enjoying driving it . It has all hotchkis suspension(springs ,swaybars, control arms etc.)275/45 nitos on the rear and 255/45 nitos on the front. The car drives like a dream and will eat the corners up dont ever let someone tell you that a bigg impala wont handle.
I have a twin turbo kit on the way to see if i can get a little more power on tap. i will get some pics up when i get a chance.
Thanks for all the nice comments about my crawler this was my first clod build.
