| Working on a Scale YJ
Well since they don't make a Scale YJ. I had to use a HPI Ruby body. Doing something just a little different, not something everyone does. I painted the inside like Rust. Using reds, browns, silvers, and Black. Then I taped off the outside sanded it down a little and sprayed it Yellow. I'll clear it with Future Floor polish to make it shine. I have 2 Roof Racks coming from DJ to add a litte room for hualing things. Other things on the list are. One Roof rack goes on top of the Jeep and the other will be part of the Spare Tire Carrier/Jerry Can/Hi-Lift holder. Parts List. Traxxas Body Mount Posts Front Ram Rectangular Lights (2) For the Head Lights Ram Lights Tamiya Roll Bar Parma Fasdark Brown 2 oz Pactra Polycarb Bright Yellow 3 oz Pactra Polycarb Candy Red 3 oz Pactra Polycarb Metal Flake Silver 2/3 oz Ram Ultra Bright Lites w/White LED HPI Jeep Ruby Body Two Roof Racks by Double J from RCC Snorkle from ORCRC 2.2 Swamp Dawgs 2.2 Wheels Cooler Hi-Lift Shovel Sleeping bag Scale Rope Still trying to find one Spare 2.2 Swamp Dawg... I broke my damn Airbrush to night...Can't be fixed. It's over 10 years old anyway. Time to get a new one. had to brush the brown on. Oh well...It's just rust anyway. The smaller round stickers are my 1:1 Jeep Club stickers. http://www.ozarksjeepthing.org/forums/ |

You could make light buckets out of either lexan or plasti card and shoo goo them on to the back of the light opening painting the inside silver or white I would imagine that would be more than enough to hold them in place

I cant wait to see this body 3 months from now!!! Usually you like to see bodies BEFORE the hit the rocks... This one will look 50 times better AFTER it hits the rocks. |
