Question An esc for my Pimp Cane

I found Mtroniks Sprint 4 esc. 11 turn and waterproof. Perfect for a pimp? I'll only be running lathes so the motor limit doesn't really matter. The only bad part is that there is no reverse. How many of you guys run non reversing esc's? I won't be competing yet, the UK hasn't caught up yet with the sport.

I would suggest that you get an ESC that has reverse you will need it for changing approach angles. I would reccomend a Tekin Rebel II. They have always worked great for me.

You make a very good point 666. No reverse forces me to use what would be used at a comp. Do most of the comps say no reverse?

reverse is a 1 point penalty, using it instead of hitting a gate marker for 10 point penalty is a no brainer,

YOU NEED REVERSE

I would go with a Mamba Maxx. They work with Brushed and brushless. So if you run a Brushed motor at first and then want to bump up to more power with Brushless you don't have to get another ESC. So in a way it will save you time and maybe money in the long run. I'm running dual Mamba Max's on my Super and a XL-5 on my 2.2..

Thumbs up Mtronics viper SSR

I am using an Mtronics viper SSR on my tlt it is an excellent ESC, I have just built a clod stick using a rebel2, I don,t like the rebel2 ,so I am going to try a viper ssr and a ubec http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3A-Switch-Mode...QQcmdZViewItem
The viper only has a bec of 1.2 amps so it won,t power 2 servo,s, so hopefully the ubec will work Ok.

I just got an LRP AI Bullet Reverse esc and really like it. It replaced an old LRP Indy 600 with no reverse that worked great, till you got up against something and had to walk over and pick the truck up and moved it... now I can just back up and go at a different angle...
