| Bad day for my pimp cane rig
Well today i finally got my pimp cane build setup where it worked like i wanted. So i figured it was time to see what it was really capable of.I have for some reason adopted a hammer down driveing style with this rig and it came back to bite me. The pimp cane chassis was overcoming obsticles that my CFNN would not think about. After about 10 minutes one rear wheel stoped spinning but i was not ready to stop beating this thing and the next thing i new one of the esc's cought fire. After taking the rear axle apart i found that i striped one side of the TTR diff lock wher the brass hex goes and for the moped esc i could not tell you what went wrong.I did notice before it cought fire the front would stop for a split second and then pull again. After i get my new parts in Is there a way to keep the hex from stripping the new locker again? And i guess it is time to buy a better set of esc's. I am thinking of going with the mamba max esc's does anyone know what the bec rating is and what voltage they send to the servos? |

I hear ya on the whole "MOPEDs catching fire" thing, they sure don't like water... I was bombing my Mad Bull around in short, wet grass, and even the spray from that was enough to produce flames. Now the whole buggy stinks of magic smoke... :-(
