Default Lockers

Hey has anyone used hot glue to lock diffs. If so how good is it?

I've never done it but I have heard people recommend it. Supposedly you can peel it off the gears if you ever want to unlock it.

yes, i use hot glue to lock the diffs. it works great.

Onto the spider gears.

Click for a tutorial.

He used epoxy, but it's the same process for any other adhesive.

thanks thats helpfull. but what about the traclock gear at rc4wd will that work the same as JB weld

i got two trak gears in my clod and dont buy them its a waste of $60 just jb weld them uless you like spending money when you dont have to

The Trac gear and Diff disks aren't a waste of money. The advantage that they give you is a metal hex. I've stripped the hex out of the stock plastic gears a couple of times with a diff locked in the normal fashion.
