the wheely king does have after market parts but not as much as the clod. i think go with the clod cuz you can do anything to it. its all in you imagination. the wheely king restricts your imagination cuz of the fact it has shafts lol. clod you can make it any wheel base you want.

I understand the wheely king is a new design, I've seen it do some amazing things. Parts are still coming out for the it aswell, some of them are already 4wd.

Do stock ClodBuster's always break? Can you fit brushless engines in their stock chassis? Will it wheely?

in order to do brushless you need 2 speed controls, to control each motor

For 2 speed controls, wouldnt you need a higher end radio system?

If you are looking to crawl, go with the clod. The king has aftermarket parts but they aren't really geared toward crawling. The clod on the other hand has hundreds and hundreds of after market parts designed specifically for crawling.

Lightbulb Clod Vs Wheely King

Well.... first off i definitly would go with the clod for the simple fact it's 1/10th based and you can do 100 different things with it the hpi wheely king being 1/12th doesn't offer that and the fact it will go 4wd but your talking basicly a new vehicle type at the moment also as far as the tranny though i've heard and seen great application's using it such as in the 350 hi lift for example!

But... in the end i still agree the clod is definitly the erector set of truck's!

Clod hands down! There are so many more upgrades and chassis kits for it plus a lot of knowledge of the truck on this site! Its a proven design, been aroud sense the mid to late 80's!

Later,

You obviously haven't been around much If ANYTHING,a shaft driven truck WON'T restrict your imagination. Clod.....make it any wheelbase......so I can't build my shaftie any wheelbase? Why not?

Please step out of the Clod section and read please.

Swampth1ng,If you want to build a truck that'll handle anything you can dish out and CAN crawl with the best of them.....build a Twin.
