Default ESC Question

Good Day

I am on my way to building my first crawler. I have ordered integy lathe 55t motors but they haven't showed yat but today my esc came in. Question is ... right on the esc box, it's a Tekin Rebel 2, it says 10 turn motor limit can somebody explain what this means? Do I have the right ESC for the Lathe motors? i based my decision to go this route as per the RC4WD.com web site

Thanks

MC

You'll be fine. The 10 turn motor limit is the lowest number of turns that ESC can handle (ie. fast modified motors). The 55T lathe motors will act as a single 27T motor once wired up in your Clod. Good luck!

The smaller the # of turns on a motor..the faster it spins and the less torque it will give you. With a 55 turn lathe, your getting a much slower rotation and much more torque. Look at it in terms of wire gauge...the smaller the number...the bigger the gauge. The same goes for these motors...the smaller the number of turns...the more current flow there is....whcih means it is the "lowest" turn limit the ESC can handle. Such that you are using 55t's...your way good...you won't have any problems....even runing 2 of them even though the Tekin says to only run one.
